we know that

To know the amount of [tex] \frac{2}{3} [/tex] ounce peanut packages that can be prepared with [tex] 8 [/tex] ounces of peanuts,

Divide [tex] 8 [/tex] by [tex] \frac{2}{3} [/tex]

[tex] \frac{8}{\frac{2}{3}} =\frac{8*3}{2} \\ \\ =\frac{24}{2} \\ \\ =12 packages [/tex]

therefore

the answer is

[tex] 12 packages [/tex]
