The sum of two numbers is 33 One number is 2 times as large as the other what are the numbers

we know that one number is 2 times as large as the other

so let x be the number

X + 2X= 33
3X= 33
X=11  so one numbewr is 11, the second one is 22, which is 2 times larger than the first one  11+22=33
