Answer :- 7½ or 8 ( explained below)

Explanation:-

Given :-

  1. 9 halves for family
  2. 6 halves for friends

So in total :- 15 halves for both of them

It means :- 7½ cupcakes in total u required

if u can buy an half cupcake then u need to buy :- 7½

If u can't but an half cupcake then u need to buy :- 8
