Explanation:

Yes, it can because of the energy transferred by the light particles on the metal surface. It does matter what 'light' shines. So, what we know as light has a fixed wavelength, and speed of 3 * 10^8 m/s but there are also other kinds of radiation, waves which will heat the metal differently.
