if 6 banannas are $1.50 and 5 oranges are $3.00 how much would it cost if i buy 2 banannas,and 2 oranges.

2 bananas are $0.50
2 oranges are $1.20

find cost of 1 of each
1.50/6=0.25 per banana
3.00/5=0.60 per orange

2*0.25+2*0.60=0.50+1.20=1.70

total cost is $1.70
