For this case what we must do is calculate the centripetal force of the object.

By definition, the centripetal force is given by:

[tex] F = m(\frac{v^2}{r})
[/tex]

Where,

v: tangential speed

r: radius of the circular path

m: mass of the object

Substituting values we have:

[tex] F = 0.25 * (\frac{12.2 ^ 2}{1.6})

F = 23.26
[/tex]

Answer:

The centripetal force of the ball is given by:

[tex] F = 23.26 N [/tex]
