For f(x) = 3x +1 and g(x) = x^2-6, find (fg)(x).

Y=3x+1
x = 3Y+1
x-1=3y
X-1/3=3y/3
F^-1(x)=x-1/3 so that’s for the first part basically you switch the y and the x places and then you solve
