Get k on its own side
k/30 =1/3
Multiply 30 to both sides
k=30/1*1/3
k=10

If those are suppose to be fractions, it would look more like this
[tex] \frac{k}{30} = \frac{1}{3} [/tex]

Which automatically shows you that [tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex] is the simplified form of [tex] \frac{k}{30} [/tex] and that tells you k = 10
