50 dimes = 4 ounces

300 dimes = w ounces

[tex]\begin{gathered} \frac{50}{300}=\frac{4}{w} \\ \frac{1}{6}=\frac{4}{w} \\ w=24 \end{gathered}[/tex]

300 dimes = 24 ounces

the proportion is 1/6 =4/w
