To move around another object. The moon or it’s the earth. It does not move away.

Explanation: for example the Earth is orbiting around the sun in the solar system. That doesn’t mean we’re moving away from the sun, it means we’re moving around the sun. Since the sun has a ton of mass, it keeps all the planets in orbit around it!
