So you want to make a table listing the x and y values. you then want to see if the pairs in the table match any functions listed. For example, if x was -2 and Y was -2, then the function would be x=Y. In fact, the second graph represents that same function of x=y. As the hint says, you should substitute x with -2 and make a table with the values increasing. The second x value should be -1, then 0, then 1. Do that until you have made 4 or 5 x values and start finding the y values.
