0.75 × 4 = $3 the burger costs $3 per pound

Cost per pound is the cost for 1 pound of the hamburger.

1/4 lbs  cost $0.75

1 lb would definitely cost  0.75 ÷ 1/4

                                         = 0.75 × 4/1 = 3

Therefore cost per pound = $3.00
